Children, youth and families thrive when communities work together. Dress Purple Day celebrates the people, relationships and supports that strengthen families and reminds children and youth that there are trusted adults and networks of support in their communities.

On October 29, Hamilton Child and Family Supports celebrated the day and the theme – It Takes a Community – by hosting an all staff meeting focused on the partnerships that are integral to supporting children, youth and families.

We had the opportunity to learn about various community partnerships that will better serve children, youth and families, have a conversation with long term volunteer drivers about why they support HCFS, get an update on foster recruitment initiatives, and hear directly from a partner about the work they do in the community.

Everyone came together to connect, share and wear purple to show that the HCFS community is #HereToHelp! Thank you to our staff and community partners for the work you do every day to support children, youth and families in Hamilton.
